Kerry Remains Optimistic About Negotiations With Iran

(Washington, DC) -- Secretary of State John Kerry is still optimistic about negotiations with Iran over the country's nuclear program. In a State Department news briefing, Kerry said Iran must present proof that any efforts to build nuclear weapons have ended. Direct talks with Iran resume in Geneva, later this week. Kerry has been trying to convince U.S. senators to hold off on stiffening sanctions on Iran until the next round of talks have concluded. Israel is putting pressure on the U.S. Congress to approve another round of sanctions on Iran.
