(Minneapolis, MN) -- Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport officials are defending the response to an unattended box that resulted in dozens of delays last week. A Minneapolis woman received a misdemeanor citation for leaving the box behind when she didn't get it through a security checkpoint, with a metal pipe and hose sticking out of it. The package contained a metal grill and hoses for a propane tank, but the airport believed it had a tank of propane and their response disrupted travel for about two hours last Friday. Airport spokesman Patrick Hogan tells the "Star Tribune" there was no way to know for sure if there wasn't a tank in the box without calling in the bomb squad.
