(Richmond, VA) -- The latest in the race for Virginia attorney general has Republican Mark Obenshain leading by 55-votes over Democrat Mark Herring. Fairfax County election officials found that 32-hundred absentee ballots were never counted on Election Day. Most of those votes have gone to Herring. The deadline for final certification of the results is midnight Tuesday. The "Washington Post" reports a state-funded recount will likely happen next month.
