High E. coli Levels Shut Down Three Beaches
(Minneapolis, MN) -- High levels of E. coli have shut down three Minneapolis beaches. Park officials closed Lake Hiawatha Beach yesterday after samples showed the bacteria count was exceeding state guidelines. Both Thomas Beach and 32nd Street Beach were closed over the weekend. The beaches will be retested over the next week. Officials say there have been no reports of swimmers getting sick.
