(Dade City, FL) -- The former cop accused of shooting and killing a man in a Florida theater will stay behind bars until trial. A judge denied bail today for 71-year-old Curtis Reeves. The retired Tampa police officer is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Chad Oulson. Reeves allegedly shot Oulson after they got in an argument over Oulsen texting his two-year-old daughter's babysitter while the movie previews were showing. Reeves claims he acted in self defense when Oulsen hit him with something during the altercation.
