(Mankato, MN) -- Former Minnesota State-Mankato football player Isaac Kolstad remains hospitalized and his family has revealed he's on life support and in a medically-induced coma. He had part of his brain removed in a surgery last week according to a post by his family on his CaringBridge page. Kolstad was attacked last weekend, with surveillance video capturing a fight between him and former Minnesota Golden Gophers quarterback Philip Nelson. Trevor Shelley allegedly delivered the blow to the head that knocked out Kolstad after the initial skirmish, and Nelson is accused of kicking him in the head after he was down.
