Police Beginning Cell Phone Crackdown Today
(St. Paul, MN) -- Police throughout Minnesota are cracking down on drivers who text behind the wheel over the next ten days. Starting today, officers from more than 400 agencies are looking specifically for distracted drivers who are reading, composing and sending text messages on the road. Getting caught will net you a fine of 130-dollars, and police wrote nearly 22-hundred tickets last year for texting while driving.
