Crosswalk PLUS Video Devotional

So many of us, when we are new believers, feast on the milk of the Word... but eventually, it's time for us to have solid food. The hunger pangs aren't able to be fed by just milk. At some point you have to grow up, and let today be the day that you determine to practice, practice, practice feasting on the Word of God.

I encourage you today to remember the One who is holy and on the throne. I encourage you to cry out to him, to trust in him and him alone, and you will not be disappointed.

The plans that we hold are ultimately under the surrender of the will of the Lord. Start to live with a posture of humble submission, allowing God to direct your steps.

Father, thank you for your word. I'm asking that you open a new chapter in my life. Help me to recognize the opportunities that you're placing before me and give me the courage to step forward in faith. Reveal your plans for my life and help me to walk boldly in the purposes you've set before me.

Dear Jesus, I pray that we would embrace the call to give thanks in all circumstances and that you would help us to have thankful hearts. Help us to be thankful in all that we do and all that you've given us. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

We have to continuously ask God, "What is the next right thing that you have for me?"

This year, let's start boldly declaring the gospel, and let's pray powerfully for our preachers - that they will be able to declare the hope of the gospel and the foundation of truth that God can use to turn this world upside down.

When we think about faith, we think about that deep resolve and confidence that we know that in this situation, God is going to come through. But there is something that I like to call the "tension of faith" because faith is not just what you believe, but also the actions that are associated with what you believe.

How can we live in peace today? How can we go out and do one thing differently that promotes a more peaceful environment for our home?

Father, thank you for your leaders. Thank you for the spiritual covering that you have placed in my life. Help me to honor and respect the graces you have given them and placed on their lives. Help me to align my life to your will through their guidance, and may your peace guard my heart and mind.

Dear Jesus, we often do not want to love those who hurt us. Help us to love with Your love; to imitate You in the way that You interacted with people. Give us Your love for others, especially those we consider our enemies. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Every success ultimately belongs to the God who entrusted it to us.And when we remember that, leadership becomes less about protecting our position and more about faithfully serving the people that God has placed in front of us.

That is a beautiful prayer for me to cover our children with, cover our loved ones with when I maybe don't have the right words or I'm struggling with how to start praying. So it's kind of a jumping-off point and it really captures God's heart for us.

If we are delighting in God and actively moving towards Him and pursuing deeper intimacy with Him, our joy or lack thereof can serve as a litmus test. That's not to say we should rely on our feelings alone, but we can allow our feelings to inform us.

The more time that we spend in scripture, the more familiar we become with God's character.And when we know his character, ideas that don't sound like him begin to stand out.
