'It Is Well' David Phelps Sings Classic Hymn

This beloved hymn was written by Horatio Spafford and composed by Philip Bliss. After Horatio lost all four of his daughters, he wrote down these words as a testament to God. The lyrics are a reminder that God is with us through the good times and the bad.

"When peace like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say
It is well, it is well, with my soul”

David Phelps is no stranger to leading others in worship. In fact, he has been a staple in the Christian music world for decades. For 15 years, he served as a member of The Gaither Vocal Band. Now, he is venturing out on his own for a compilation of inspiring hymns and worship songs.

Today, David is in Birmingham, Alabama, for a special performance of ‘It Is Well.’ Just listen as he belts out these iconic words we all know and love.
