Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters has the nation’s financial industry on edge as she issued a fresh warning to Wall Street on Wednesday, outlining her agenda as the new chairwoman of the House Financial Services Committee.

Waters, a frequent critic of President Trump, says she won't let the banks and financial institutions “run amok” and lead the country into another crisis.

Fox News reports Waters, speaking at the Center for American Progress Action Fund in Washington, reintroduced a bill that would allow regulators to break up big banks that “repeatedly harm consumers.”

Waters warned big Wall Street banks, “What I am going to do to you is fair. I’m going to do to you what you did to us.”
