Hearts of Our Heroes

After September 11th, 2001, Patty Peerson made three promises: to live as courageously as the heroes of flight 93, to honor every Gold Star Family whose sacrifice must never be forgotten and to carry on the legacy of her late Marine husband, Don. Patty was a Blue Star mom for 20 years while her daughter served as a medic in the Minnesota National Guard. All of her uncles served in WWII and she is also the creator of the Minnesota Fallen Heroes Remembered Calendar. Patty is a resident of the Twin Cities.

Hearts of Our Heroes is a radio program dedicated to honoring our veterans and fallen heroes. Patty Peerson tells the stories of those who've made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms that we enjoy every day. She interviews Gold Star family members, combat veterans, military support organization personnel, authors and patriotic community leaders. Hearts of Our Heroes challenges all of us to live our lives worthy of the sacrifices made by our brave men and women as she preserves their memory and legacy.
