Shooting reported at Minneapolis Catholic school

(The Center Square) – A shooting has reportedly taken place at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis.
“I’ve been briefed on a shooting at Annunciation Catholic School and will continue to provide updates as we get more information. The BCA and State Patrol are on scene,” Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz wrote on social media. “I’m praying for our kids and teachers whose first week of school was marred by this horrific act of violence.”
The City of Minneapolis is asking the general public to stay away from the area of the school, located at 509 W. 54th Street.
"There is no active threat to the community at this time," the city wrote on social media. "The shooter is contained."
Families of children from the school are asked to go to 525 W. 54th Street for the reunification zone.
President Donald Trump wrote that he also had been briefed on the shooting.
"I have been fully briefed on the tragic shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "The FBI quickly responded and they are on the scene. The White House will continue to monitor this terrible situation. Please join me in praying for everyone involved!"
Details on the shooting have not been announced.
